Ruffley Riot!

New apron in the shop!  This is a cute three tiered ruffley half apron with a sweet waistband you can tie in front or back.

See!  I told you it was possible.

The bottom ruffle and waistband are navy/white/pink/gray, with squares and flowers.  Middle layer is navy with white polka dots (a little hard to see in the pic) and the top is solid hot pink.

Isn't Divya a great model?  Thanks lady!

Totes Toasties!

I've just added a new bag to my Etsy Shop - check it out!

I used two of the same fabrics I used for the quilt - I like how it came out.
The inside - navy with white polka dots.
I've realized (duh) that its takes just as much time and effort to make two of the same item and sew them together as it is to make one.  I make a little assembly line and off I go!
I put together this little brown tote with lime interior for a gift, and made the other for my shop while I was at it!  Hooray efficiency!

Etsy Craft Party!

Cool Thing To Do Alert!

In celebrate of Etsy's Anniversary, and in conjunction with Readymade (my fav mag) and Meetup, next Friday June 18th is worldwide Etsy Craft Party Day!

What is it?  Per etsy: "A global initiative to energize your local community, make art together, and throw a party in your neck of the woods. We want to celebrate crafting together on June 18, 2010 (which just happens to be Etsy's birthday) with as many celebrations across the globe as possible."

I personally have signed up to go to Etsy Labs in Brooklyn!  There will be tote bag decorating, glass painting, and party hat making - or you can bring your own crafts to work on.

If you live elsewhere, there are meetups all over the country, and the world even with diverse and fun crafts at each!  Check here to find out where the closest one is.  You can even organize your own if there isn't one nearby.

It sounds like fun, even if I'm a little scared that I don't know anyone that is going.  I'm hoping to meet some new crafty friends in person though - is anyone going to the Brooklyn event?  Or another?

Quick Change

New for the shop!
Inspired by some new additions to the globe recently that I can't wait to meet soon, I put together this cute little changing pad and pouch set.

The pad is cushioned with fleece inside, and rolls out when baby needs a change. It folds up and fits in the coordinating pouch. You could probably tuck an extra diaper or two in there.

What do you think?

New Stuff in the Shop!

I was busy this weekend!

I put together several fun sleep masks and have added them to my etsy shop today.

I made a few extras and gave them to various birthday girls in my life, and they were well received! I tested mine out last night and I feel so well rested today. Seriously!

The satin on the back feels quite luxurious, and is gentle for the eyes and face. My alarm clock is really bright (and I don't know how to adjust it) so this solved the problem for me!

I also made some rain boot liners if you want to stay warm through the next storm - set for later this week here in NYC.

If you are interested in any of these in different colors, send me a message!

Totes!

Even more added to the shop!
Now I have some sweet tote reversible bags that work great as a reusable grocery bag, OR just a nice roomy bag to toss your crap in and run out the door!

New stuff!

Hey! Just added a new item to my shop - check it out! A full apron - keeps you clean and stylish! Remember - if you want any item in a custom design, I will do special orders based on your ideas.

My Shoppe

My first item for sale! Chinese Zodiac Wine Tote, on etsy.

I much prefer the word "shoppe" as in "Olde Tyme Shoppe" to plain old shop. BORING! What this is about: putting together an etsy shop! I'm slowly but surely making my own - right now I've posted two cute wine totes. Will anyone buy them? I hope so! Otherwise I'm going to be giving out a bunch of wine totes for Christmas! Not a bad thing...but judging by the stash of other holiday handicrafts I've already completed (I know its August, I like to be prepared) I might have a surplus.
Here is the shop if you want to take a look: Emma on etsy!
